Rope Walking

There will always be two areas of life that we can walk on based on this photograph, the one above the line and the one below the line.

The area that is above the line represents a life filled with positivity, happiness, and love. A place where almost all of us struggle for years and years to get our feet into. This area is where everything feels lighter on our shoulders. The area where we can see our dreams, carrying with them the promise of the best days to come. Living above the line is a feeling that we want, not only for ourselves but for almost every human being finding their place in this world.

And like all the good things in life, this safe space above the line has its counterpart—a place where people are struggling every minute that they are there. The place below the line, for us, is a place that represents loneliness, destruction, and a life filled with so much pain that every second of staying there makes it more and more unbearable.

Like this talented little girl in this captivating photograph, we have the choice to choose which of the two areas we want to struggle with. Do we fight to stay and live our lives above the line, or do we succumb to the challenges we face and bear with what is underneath?
