Description
Famous for his strength, Hercules is the son of Zeus (Jupiter in Roman), who lived a challenging life filled with trials that he needed to accomplish to earn his seat with the gods at Mount Olympus.
From the day he was born, his father's enemies prevented Hercules from being the ruler of the Mycenaean kingdom. Two snakes were sent to his crib to kill him, but Hercules, with his unmatched bravery and strength, strangled the snakes and killed them. Hera cast a spell during his adolescent years that would drive him temporarily insane, killing his wife and two children. Driven by what he has done, Hercules asked Apollo for a punishment that equaled 12 heroic labors for the Mycenaean king Eurystheus. This photograph depicts more than just one of the beautiful floats in the 2014 Mardi gras parade, but a reminder that you are the hero of your own journey. And it will be up to you to face your trials towards reaching your desired life.
